We went to the airport at 8 in the morning because our flight was leaving at 10 in the morning, we had to check in our bags and when we arrived in Amarante it was raining, and there was Marcelo waiting for us, he was very nice to us. 😊

The next day Marcelo showed us and told us some history of the town and the church of São Gonzalo, we also went to the internship site to see what it was like and meet Rafael (internship tutor) with the teachers and Marcelo.

Now I will tell you a little story that Marcelo told us
After the father São Gonçalo returned from travelling around the world he realised that Amarante was too small to cross the river so they built a small wooden bridge which unfortunately the river with its great flow destroyed so they had to build the current one higher and made of stone.

In the church of São Gonçalo where Napoleon's soldiers hid and after their defeat burned the town to the ground, but the town has been recovering its former splendor but something still remains.
In the first image we find the tomb of São Gonçalo where it is said that his remains rest inside the coffin.
And finally in the last image we can see the interior of the church, people came to ask Father São Gonçalo for luck in love and if they paid they would find a partner and then Amarante's demons (we will see them soon in the museum). ) were asked to have sexual relations.
The next day after Marcelo showed us Amarante and a bit of him we went to practice that we had to change the hard drive and reinstall the operating system, and we had to install the drivers, and our internship tutor was very patient with us.

That week we started to meet the volunteers, two girls offered Yuna and me dinner with them at the same table, and now they call us "Spanish girls".
And finally Yuna and I went to the market that a lady scammed us 😂.
